A limited edition fine art reproduction of Catherine Nguyễn Hoàng’s original oil painting, And then, home.
Artist Statement:
My dad built the boat my family sailed on to escape the aftermath of the Vietnam War. We were refugees. We became Australians. Australia is beautiful because its identity grows with those who call it home. It cannot be contained by its shores—or, in this case, a manicured picture frame. Australia offered us refuge, a future, a sense of belonging. And then, it offered us a home.
This painting is a finalist in the Kennedy’s Art Prize, 2026.
Print details:
A2 paper size: 42 × 59.4 cm.
Printed on Ilford Smooth Cotton Rag, 300 GSM, 100% cotton.
