About the Artist
My practice is driven by an itch to learn — to keep refining my skills while using painting as a way to tell stories and capture quiet experiences.
Whether starting from an object or an event, I begin simply, then uncover how that subject holds meaning: sometimes deeply personal, sometimes universal. Recurring themes in my work reflect my identity and cultural diversity, exploring the line between multiculturalism and acculturation.
I often use oil paints and a limited palette, expanding the depth within those colours to shape both mood and meaning. Even when the themes feel heavy to me, the composition, colour, and light work together to lift the surface — offering viewers a space to reflect, connect, and find their own questions in the work.
